Q. What is the SDA Bible Commentary?

A. The Seventh-day Adventist Commentary Reference Series is a set of thirteen volumes compiled by Seventh-day Adventist scholars. The first 7 books are a verse-by-verse commentary on the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Volume 7A is a commentary of the whole Bible taken from select passages from the Spirit of Prophecy writings. The set also includes a the two-volume Seventh-day Adventist Encyclopedia, as well as the Seventh-day Adventist Bible Dictionary, the Seventh-day Adventist Bible Students' Source Book and the Handbook of Seventh-day Adventist Theology. Francis D. Nichol served as the editor-in-chief of the project. He had already been associate editor and editor-in-chief of the Review and Herald for the previous 23 years. He oversaw a team of more than 30 different contributors.
